winter colds

I am a bit behind with my weblog, because we all have had flus and colds. I have had a day or two when I was not well, and I for the last couple of weeks my nose is running and Ihave a cough. Now my mama has the flu and we are just waiting for papa to get it too.

The worst thing about it is that mama and papa - and the ladies at child care too - always want to clean my nose. I just hate that. I twist my head, use my hands to defend myself against their 'soft' paper tissues. Bwah! It's just not on that everybody should be allowed to touch my nose!

Belly dancing on the IJssel

Just a little extra photo from the belly dancing: this was my friend there: Tessa. She is a lively bubble. We play here amidst all the ladies with glittering dresses (in the background). Tessa's mama was very careful, Tessa's papa let her crawl around much more.

After the belly dancing my mama and papa walk up to the river IJssel for a quick look. I just want my bottle, which mama has in her hands, but she says is far too hot. I don't understand why she makes it so hot, then??

Belly dancing

It is a rainy windy day, so what better than go to an oriental performance? When we come there, there is music, a tea corner, cookies and fund raising for Amma. Mama's friend Karen is belly dancing. Isn't she beautiful? Mama wanted a picture of me with Karen, but mama's camera was out of battery. I also cried a bit, so better this picture! Karen looks much different from when we visited the market, doesn't she?

But I loved the show: the music, the glitters and the other children! There was Tessa, only one month older. We moved around and touched everything. The cookies and waffle was good too!

And then on the way back, it just happened to be dinner time when we passed the Tafelberg. We just had to dine out! Funny enough they moved us right into the kid's corner, two stairs up and far left. But that suited me right, because I like watching other kids.

My mama said I was really well behaving: not crying, or running like some of the other kids. I even ate bread and pasta, while papa had steak and mama had fish.

My games: hands up in the air!

I can play another game.

I put my hands up in the air and I squeal loud: yeaeah!

This game can be played nearly everywhere and at any time, even while eating.

It can be played with as many people you like. I put my hands up in the air and then all the other people follow. Then we look a while at each others hands and slowly lower the hands. Untill I put my hands up in the air again!!

My games: keekaboo

I can play, and I know several games.

The best game is still bo-peep or keekaboo. If you are inventive as I am, then you find hundred's of ways to play it. With the table, with a curtain, a door post, my diaper, the cupboard, my jumper, mama's jumper, the doors. The list is endless, and I can play it endlessly!

But you always need a mama or a papa to play it with. It is always such a surprise: then you see them, then you don't!

Beer twice

Today I am showing you two beer pictures. I love beer bottles. My papa and mama won't let me drink beer, but the bottle is nice and cold. And makes a nice banging sound when you let it bang on the table.

My mama always gives me a bottle, now it is my turn to give my mama a bottle. The mouth is were the bottle should go! Drink mama!!

The beer crates are another good beer thing. They are solid and just of the right height for me. Not that we booze a lot!

At day care

This is me at days care. It is early morning and my mama and papa (in the back ground) drop me off at day care and drink a cup of coffe with ladies there, Saskia and Elka. I sit here with Olivia, Caspar, Shuna and others.

I like day care. I cry a bit when mama or papa leaves, but then it is playing time!!! And then suddenly papa or mama (they other one from the morning) are there and that I am surprised how happy that makes me.

My own wheels

I can sit now, I can have my own seat. Today my mama brings and gets me from day care with our own wheels. I love the seat. I can see the sea gulls flying and all the other kids that are being taken to school on the bicyle.

My favourite game

This is now my favourite game. I stand and look over the table and see my papa. Then I look under the and I see my papa, and he makes loud growling noises. This is sooo funny. I giggle loud. And want to play it over and over. So I get up and down, up and down. And my papa does too ....

Kitchen?

This is the playground ... ummm kitchen. While mama is busy with washing the dishes or cooking, I can be on my playground.

I can make tea with the tea bags or boil the potatoes. I try everything with my mouth and then mama thinks it is ready and takes it from me. Thank you, Ces, she says!

Climbing

I am learning how to deal with all the things in our house. There are stable things, and things that fall, things that glide, or slide, and things with roofs over them or beams at crawling height. You have to be careful or else it hurts.

Chinese food

My papa and mama are driving with me in the car and we are all hungry. So we "Wok Inn". They give me a battered high chair: many chinese children went before me? I find the food very nice: baked banana and ice cream.

Organising kitchen cupboard

This is a wink all you other kids who organise kitchen cupboards. Look at me, I can do it too! The heavier the pot, the better the organising is. And: less often the cup board opens, the better it is to organise.

washing

Cessie, where are you? What are you doing?

Eating back to front

Sitting in the eating chair is great, but after a while it gets boring. So, I turn around. In fact, I sit backwards most of the time.

I love eating, I eat fruit and bread and yoghurt and vegetables. And soup sticks or cookies. But drinking I still prefer milk - from the bottle.

Shower

Sometimes mama and I take a shower together. I love taking a shower. I let the warm water float over my back, close my eyes and lean on mama's arm. Papa even installed a new shower head, so that we can take even better showers. When I am all rosy, papa or mama dry me and I can have a bit of a play.

Don't you think I can sit real nicely?!

New Year

In Amsterdam all the little boys were making banging fire works sounds. We go to the Vechtoever for the last day of the year. And the new year starts with a calm day fresh day.

A good day for a walk and a sleep in the garden.

A good 2008 to all of you!!
