Snow princess

Mama has fitted the snow man with the hat. Actually, he is a she: a snow princess. Of course you saw that!

A hat for the snow man.

More snow coming our way, so we are stuck at home. Time to make a hat for our snow man. Ces and mama get to work. Ces's hat we'll make to fit the snow man's head. Then we know for shure the hat doesn't  sink over the eyes!!

Ice skating

Brr, a cold easterly wind, but Ces is keen to skate. I like sitting on the Dubai car, but man, is it cold! A quick snap shot and home we go. But we've been on the ice!!

Now that I have words, I like reading books, so I can recognise my words and say them. Ces has specifically found a book with babaws in the library! Ain't she sweet?

spanish talking?

We are having dinner, and Ces wants to talk. So, she is thinking of questions for mama. 'Mama, do the people in India speak Indiana?'. Hmmm, no, in Northern America they speak Indiana, in India they speak Indian. And what do they speak in Southern America. Hmm, spanish and portuguese. But mama, in Spain they speak spanish too, don't they! Sure. But - and now Ces is very clever - she says: two people don't speak spanish in Spain, haha. Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet!! Haha, she is smart, isn't she?!

Snow!

It has snowed!! Ces is so excited, she wants to go into the back yard to make a snow man. And of course she wants to go by sledge to school. I like that too! Ces holds me tightly, while mama 'sports'. We sledge home through the night and watch the moon follow us. When Kirsten comes to play, the girls pull each other over the play ground, but it is very heavy for them! Later Megan shows us where you can slide done the road verge. Wow!! That is great, my sister tells me. I haven't been there yet, I hope I get there soon.

The only pity is that the snow has ruined the ice: it doesn't freeze with the warm snow blanket. And Ces is keen to ice skate!!

Christmas in the forest

Second Christmas day we take a walk in the forest before celebrating Christmas with the Tiernego family. This is Lage Vuursche near Hilversum.

We need a walk!

 Mama and Ces need fresh air. They take a walk in the forest near Elswout, near grandpa and grandma.

There is such a cute house in the middle of forest. It is a moss hunt walk: where do we find moss? Ces is good at it!

Leon gets a short walk around Grandparents house: the little statues with seats that have attracted all the other kids, is now his favourite too!

Santa Claus is gone and Christmas is in the air. Ces want lights and trees. She can't wait for them! So, at work for us.

Going to school

A picture for mama on her phone. It is old, from October 5th last year, I was only small back then. But we are still going to school and day care every day, just I am no longer in the baby bjorn!

An afternoon with just kids

The papa and mama of Simon and Alex need to party, and its a party for grown ups, so today there are four kids and mama. Fun! The big ones Ces and Simon are playing nice. Sometimes us small ones don't understand the games of the big kids, and we like playing with them too! But there are some games we all understand: 'zakdoekje leggen' (duck duck goose) and 'stoelendans' (musical chair). I love the running around! And the loser picks the ice cream first!

Re-ordering things

Haha, I am just re-ordering mama's floor! And kitchen cupboard.

Spanish wedding

There is a spanish dance in Ces's dance lesson, and the kids can wear a spanish dress. Do you think mama made a good deal on this second hand dress? I think so! And Ces loves the dress too! Here she is getting ready to mary mama. A kiss and a dance and its done. I am waiting for the party, haha.

Golden trees

 We have been to the park where Ces dances and see: this is a gorgeous autumn day! Look at the sun on the coloured leaves! Our backyard is also golden in the autumn  sun, quiet air. Mama makes some pictures and then goes inside to cook. But I don't wanna go. I like playing outside and so I stay and try to climb 'Ces's chair' and I play with my football.

Computer

I wanna use the computer too!!!! Just like Ces! But I can't open the lid!!! Whoaa

 

See! I can do this! Ha!

Apple jam

We picked the apples a couple of weeks ago, but us children don't like the apples: too saur (Goudreinetten). So, mama makes apple jam. In the quiet afternoon, while I sleep, Ces wants to help mama. With the sharp knife cutting the apples to pieces is easier. Do you see how well Ces that does! And in the end? Six jars and apple sauce for dinner. But even the sauce is quite saur, we say: more sugar.

Simon turns six!

Finally!, we have been waiting a while for a party, and there it is! Simon got a great hanging chair in his new room. All the kids disappear upstairs. Great! David and I have the downstairs toys to ourselves. Later, after Roos has gone to the next party, we play with the four of us.

You know my sister is really funny. Tonight she makes a funny joke. She hurt her foot. A little bit. So first she sniffed a bit and then she said: I'll shake it off. And she's shaking her foot, to release the pain. And then she realises the joke. Haha, mama, I 'll shake my foot off, look! And even harder she shakes her foot. Haha.

football

Ces is helping mama with the rabbit house. Then they are ready and Ces wants to play ball. I always love playing ball. Ces is keeper, mama and I try to shoot the ball in. Fun, on this lovely bright afternoon.

Squirrel baby bjorn

Ces has a bew fashion, she is wearing a shawl. Mama says she can wear it once to school, but then no more: it will be in the way of working at school.
This morning she has found a new mode for the shawl: a baby bjorn for today's favourite cuddly: squirrel. Now Squirrel can participate at breakfast, without getting jam on his fur.

There is a lot of table dressing and table clearing happening in our house. Morning, lunch, dinner and some in between's. I wanna do that too, it is obviously fun to do, or else why would everybody do that all the time? Am I doing a good job putting everything out?

Painting the wall

But the morning is too quiet and Ces stirrs it up: let's paint the wall!! Mama is a bit hesitant, but then she finds a good wall. I create nice drippers!

Quiet morning

We are having a quiet morning. My sister is as usual working hard at her table: drawing, writing, cutting. I am busy with the puzzles. I pick one up, carry it to the middle of the floor and turn it around. Then I may be putting some pieces back before returning the puzzle to the pile. The carrying is the fun!

Sleeping at Gabi's

Yeah, Gabrielle has invited Ces for a sleep over. Ces loves sleepovers and she loves Gabrielle. It is big fun! The day after mama comes far to quickly. But then... surprise! Mama wants to takes us all to Bubble Jungle, this children's play paradise. Especially a paradise bar with ice cream and lemonade. And mama gives them money to buy lemonade themselves. They are so excited they come back with the change but without the lemonade!!

Today she has grabbed papa's camera. Ces is playing great with me, and I am caught with my hand in the hagelslag jar (chocolate, hmm!).
