Dinner

Dinner is soooo boring. The first couple of bites are great, but then...I play with the vitamin D bottle. And when I am really through with this whole dinner thing, I stand up and look really cute naughty!

Family visit

Grandma and grandpa are visiting us, and Simon and Alex are coming too. It is a house full of family! And lots of kids playing! After the grandparents have left, we kids continue playing, preparing performances in the blue room: the performance of course needs to be rehearsed on the bed and involves a lot of jumping!


Then there is a flower princess, just like in the book, but also naughty monkeys with mama's socks in their pants. The flower princess is a bit scared of them. But also perhaps not.... And I love jumping on the brown couch.

Lantern parade

Making a lantern? Then walk in a lantern parade? Just what my sister Ces loves!

In the afternoon, while I do my afternoon nap, they go to the Autumn market, where there is all sorts of fun autumn things to do. And they make a pumpkin lantern, with a real smiley face.

But the parade is of course only after dinner: it has be a bit dark! Ces is very keen on the parade, she asks all they time when we can go. Finally after dinner, and I can come too, even though it is after my bed time. The parade walks straight into the forrest! Yeah, nice and dark!!

Walking duck

Another thing I have learnt: walk with my duck, quack, quack, quack. Just two weeks ago I was confused by the rope and where the duck should go (behind me). And now I can! Just like any other kid I walk circles  in my house. Quack, quack!

Last beach day of the year?

Mmm, it might be the last beach day of the year. We go! Mama and Ces swim, but I just stroll over the sand. And then Ces thinks of a game. We burry the flipflops and then the other person must find them again. How does one spot a place were the sand is turned?

A swim at the lake

A last beautiful day of the season. We are enjoying it at the lake. Leon woke up just before mama could take a good swim.

Groceries

I am helping mama bringing in the groceries. They make the bread loafs big these days!!!

Cleaning the windows

It is hot hot hot, and we splash splash splash. My sister has found a fun game: cleaning the windows with her broom stick. Mama says she is a real big help! You can see: no stripes but lots of droplets! She goes around the house and cleans all the windows!

Then she uses her crayons to write on the pavement: her name and a heart and an eye. This is my chance! I pick up the broom stick, put it in the bucket to make it wet! It is not not easy to put a large broom stick like that where it needs to go!

The water can

This water can is these days my favourite. I take it in the house and walk around with it. Not with water, unfortunately. But outside I have my bicycle - can't reach the pedals yet - with a tray of water at the rear.

Then I decide to walk down the stairs. But I am someone who thinks before he does. Shall I walk down or would that make me fall? I decide I better be careful and go on hands and knees.

Olympics in the back yard

Ces got a turn bar from Santa, but my papa had to install it. Not so easy: it needs to be firm and stable! But now it is done and our little olympics girl star can playm swing and hang upside down all she likes!

Walking!!

Have I've got news for you! In holiday I decided I could do it: walk! We were on holiday with Simon and Alex and Ces and somehow I had to keep up with those kids! I am so proud!! The first day I walked two steps, but after a week I am in this picture so far that I can walk a stretch. My shoes finally do good service!

My papa is back home!

And who walks through the door after dinner? My papa! Back from work, and ready to go on holiday! Ces and I jump in his arms!!

In the zoo is a slide

On this beautiful day we visit the zoo. It is great, we visit the Lions, sleeping even the babies. Ces wants to visit the Gorilla's after she has seen them with school in the other zoo. She reads the map and guides us. We walk past the kangaroo's, wolves, little pandabear, and then we reach the gorilla's and we see the silverback. Then we see lots more animals and run to the play ground. Yes! Do you think I like the slide?? I Love it! Mama or papa have lift me up all the time, no time for rest, up and down and up again. YEah!! Here I come!
 

School excursion

Ces had a school excursion today, to the zoo. But the bus was empty when mama wanted to collect her!! Where are the kids? Luckily they were just making a joke by hiding under the chair!! Here are Mark and Kirsten from Ces's class. We miss Ces's exit.

Mother's days gifts

Playing restaurant

'Mama, shall we play restaurant?', Ces says while mama is cooking. 'Sure', my mama answers. Ces writes down mama's order. 'Vlaflip', is the first thing. Ces knows how to write really well: she listens to the words and then writes the letters she hears. Mama finishes with a cup of Coffee ('Kovi', Ces writes).

Mmmm, mama has eaten really well, good service in this restaurant!!

A balmy evening

A balmy evening and we have finished dinner early. Gives us an opportunity to cycle around the neighbourhood before turning into bed. I love cycling, and Ces too. And mama too. So we are all happy. For the first time in my life I go on the slide. It is fun, but we need to get used to it a bit.

Lip gloss

Ces loves lip gloss, nail polish, cheek powder and all these female things. Mama says she can have nail polish in the school holidays only, but lip gloss is allowed in the weekends. She looks really beautiful, my big sis, don't you think?

No diaper

I am getting a diaper change, but I prefer moving around. In bare bum!

Bee counting day

It is bee counting day. And Ces likes doing things on the computer and with the photo camera. First we have to print the list with bee names from the computer and it says that we should picture the bees so we can better determine them. So, lots of fun! It is very difficult to get a bee on the photo. They are small, and it is still early and cold in the morning. We count quite a few bumblebee's and spot a beautiful lemon butterfly, just like in her insect book. Ah, Ces gets him on the photo!! And then we enter the numbers on the computer. Lots of fun!

Mill day

It is like a landmark for us. Just after we moved into this house, it was mill day, then just after I was born it was mill day, and now a year is passed and it is mill day again. We have a busy day ahead with also the music school visit.

But first we eat the wholesome pan cakes of the mill. Did I tell you I have become a big eater after I had the stomach flu? I eat lots of pancakes, even without sugar. But Raphael and Ces eat more.

Cooking

We have a cooking table. I like the box with the pots and pans. Piece by piece I take them out, study it, see if something else fits in, and then toss it aside! I have a fun time, and the floor is scattered!

And today I turn 1! Yeah! My papa is not at home, so we'll celebrate it later, but thanks everybody for the congratulations!

Helping with the dish washer

Every day mama clears and fills the dish washer. And I help her. Some of the tools are dangerous, and I am so good at waving them around. For a second, and then mama takes them again. But it was fun, while it lasted!

Flowers and yoghurt

Aunt Hannie gave us such beautiful flower. They cheer up dinner in the sun shine. I love yoghurt, as you can see!

Cycling to the petting zoo

A bit of a dreary day, but dry. Nothing to do, so we go cycling and visiting the petting zoo.  Ces cycles on her own little bike, and I help mama steering her big bike.

I love the petting zoo! I haven't seen chicken, pigs so close up. And a cat: he sees a warm seat and jumps at it: in my buggy. I am so excited about all these animals. Slowly and carefully  I touch its tail with tender fingers.

I also touch the little piglets. brrr, wet nose!! I have to cry a bit, because I got scared of the little piglets! How could I? They are so cute! But it was a slimey nose!

Tired

Visit from Klara and Ronald

Aunt Klara and Uncle Ronald feel it is time to take the car out, and they take it out to visit us! It is a warm day, and so we start with coffee in the garden. Klara has made a 'Gugelhupf', that we can eat in the afternoon. When I wake up, mama makes me eat my broccholi first, but then I get my hands on the cake and yummie!! I love that cake!

Simon and Alex have also come, to make the fun complete. After a while Ronald takes a quiet brake in the backyard. It is such a busy afternoon, Ces and Simon find opportunity to cycle barefeet or on sox to the play ground: parents are too busy to notice!
