My papa is back home!

And who walks through the door after dinner? My papa! Back from work, and ready to go on holiday! Ces and I jump in his arms!!

In the zoo is a slide

On this beautiful day we visit the zoo. It is great, we visit the Lions, sleeping even the babies. Ces wants to visit the Gorilla's after she has seen them with school in the other zoo. She reads the map and guides us. We walk past the kangaroo's, wolves, little pandabear, and then we reach the gorilla's and we see the silverback. Then we see lots more animals and run to the play ground. Yes! Do you think I like the slide?? I Love it! Mama or papa have lift me up all the time, no time for rest, up and down and up again. YEah!! Here I come!
 

School excursion

Ces had a school excursion today, to the zoo. But the bus was empty when mama wanted to collect her!! Where are the kids? Luckily they were just making a joke by hiding under the chair!! Here are Mark and Kirsten from Ces's class. We miss Ces's exit.

Mother's days gifts

And Ces has made flowers, "Ma de liefste" flowers. (photo to follow).

Playing restaurant

'Mama, shall we play restaurant?', Ces says while mama is cooking. 'Sure', my mama answers. Ces writes down mama's order. 'Vlaflip', is the first thing. Ces knows how to write really well: she listens to the words and then writes the letters she hears. Mama finishes with a cup of Coffee ('Kovi', Ces writes).

Mmmm, mama has eaten really well, good service in this restaurant!!

A balmy evening

A balmy evening and we have finished dinner early. Gives us an opportunity to cycle around the neighbourhood before turning into bed. I love cycling, and Ces too. And mama too. So we are all happy. For the first time in my life I go on the slide. It is fun, but we need to get used to it a bit.

Lip gloss

Ces loves lip gloss, nail polish, cheek powder and all these female things. Mama says she can have nail polish in the school holidays only, but lip gloss is allowed in the weekends. She looks really beautiful, my big sis, don't you think?

No diaper

I am getting a diaper change, but I prefer moving around. In bare bum!

Bee counting day

It is bee counting day. And Ces likes doing things on the computer and with the photo camera. First we have to print the list with bee names from the computer and it says that we should picture the bees so we can better determine them. So, lots of fun! It is very difficult to get a bee on the photo. They are small, and it is still early and cold in the morning. We count quite a few bumblebee's and spot a beautiful lemon butterfly, just like in her insect book. Ah, Ces gets him on the photo!! And then we enter the numbers on the computer. Lots of fun!

Mill day

It is like a landmark for us. Just after we moved into this house, it was mill day, then just after I was born it was mill day, and now a year is passed and it is mill day again. We have a busy day ahead with also the music school visit.

But first we eat the wholesome pan cakes of the mill. Did I tell you I have become a big eater after I had the stomach flu? I eat lots of pancakes, even without sugar. But Raphael and Ces eat more.

Cooking

We have a cooking table. I like the box with the pots and pans. Piece by piece I take them out, study it, see if something else fits in, and then toss it aside! I have a fun time, and the floor is scattered!

And today I turn 1! Yeah! My papa is not at home, so we'll celebrate it later, but thanks everybody for the congratulations!

Helping with the dish washer

Every day mama clears and fills the dish washer. And I help her. Some of the tools are dangerous, and I am so good at waving them around. For a second, and then mama takes them again. But it was fun, while it lasted!

Flowers and yoghurt

Aunt Hannie gave us such beautiful flower. They cheer up dinner in the sun shine. I love yoghurt, as you can see!

Cycling to the petting zoo

A bit of a dreary day, but dry. Nothing to do, so we go cycling and visiting the petting zoo.  Ces cycles on her own little bike, and I help mama steering her big bike.

I love the petting zoo! I haven't seen chicken, pigs so close up. And a cat: he sees a warm seat and jumps at it: in my buggy. I am so excited about all these animals. Slowly and carefully  I touch its tail with tender fingers.

I also touch the little piglets. brrr, wet nose!! I have to cry a bit, because I got scared of the little piglets! How could I? They are so cute! But it was a slimey nose!

Tired

Visit from Klara and Ronald

Aunt Klara and Uncle Ronald feel it is time to take the car out, and they take it out to visit us! It is a warm day, and so we start with coffee in the garden. Klara has made a 'Gugelhupf', that we can eat in the afternoon. When I wake up, mama makes me eat my broccholi first, but then I get my hands on the cake and yummie!! I love that cake!

Simon and Alex have also come, to make the fun complete. After a while Ronald takes a quiet brake in the backyard. It is such a busy afternoon, Ces and Simon find opportunity to cycle barefeet or on sox to the play ground: parents are too busy to notice!

Queensday

A most gorgeous day amidst all the rain, and that for Queensday! We shop some on the free market and enjoy a coffe and a snack in the sunshine, sitting just on the pavement. I love fries! And in the afternoon popcorn! When we visit the music and art market. There is a funny movie and popcorn blue car.

 I get to sit in the backpack. I love that too! Grabbing the flags above my head.

Pencil fun

My sister has lots of pencils and I like pencils. I grab the jar and turn it upside down above the floor. Or I grab the pencils one by one and drop them on the floor. Some I put back, so I can drop them on the floor again.

I sit on the Dubai car

The car had been tucked away upstairs, but Sterre asked for it, during the party. And now I can sit on it, and Ces can push me. Yes!

Play ground

It is the lazy Sunday after the party. We are not doing much, but we should get some fresh air. And what do we all like? Cycling! So, Ces goes on her own little bike without the side supports, and I sit on the baby chair on mama's bicycle and look around. We go to the big play ground.
Ces runs off, and I crawl around a bit. But best I like eating my rice cookie while watching Ces and the other kids run around.

A small party for Ces with Simon and Alex

We have scheduled Ces's family birthday party, while Simon and Alex are already agenda'ed for a birthday with Roos. Busy busy. But today they come! The three big ones run around all the time and I watch. They return painted. Those kids love paint! But later Alex and I sit down and drive the car together.


In the mean time their parents sit close to the fire on this cold day.

To the market

I love cycling and visiting my town. My sister is so used to it, she prefers to stay at home. So, mama and I go together to the market for shopping.

Phoning and watching

Ces is phoning with Grandma, thanking her for the birthday present. While I watch our fishies.

And off she cycled!

We go a stroll to the play ground and meet Megan, Kirsten, Lianne and Xiara. They are all there too! And learning to cycle without the side supports. And hop! Ces jumps on, and off she cycles!! We didn't know she could, probably she didn't know herself!

And now she doesn't stop anymore.

Painting eggs

Ah! This year we are organised: Mama and Ces are painting eggs. First with the wax pencils, then with the dye.

Peekaboo

Haha, I am playing peekaboo with my music instrument. Funny!

It's my party ...

And I laugh if I want to!!

All the ingredients for a good party were there. And we had lots of fun with Clown Snørre! He sang songs, he could do tricks with fire and candy, and the best: a shotgun that could shoot a snake. And he made jokes!!

Ces is Alfred Jodocus Kwak

Ces has a special afternoon from dance, arte farte fair and a real show! A show is the best thing in life. Ces does a show three times a day, to some slightly willing parents, or whoever wants to watch. But this is a real stage. Ces is very impressed, and takes the song to heart: splash, splash, splash, Alfred Duck comes a bit later.
Ces is the smallest girl in the group, but the lady says she dances really well with the other girls.

And I? I loved the show! Didn't miss a thing! I love music. And dance.

Friday afternoons

Friday afternoon Ces goes to dancing lessons. And mama and I do some shopping, or lazy about on the lawn, or cycle around. We see ducks in the water, under the spring blossom.

And then we go back, and wait for Ces in the corridor.

The smallest room

Fun is where my sister is. And the whole family keeps going here. And the bonus: lots of things to climb on!
