Unbrella, parasol

Grandma likes to spoil us, and we enjoy that, of course. Today Ces got an umbrella from Grandma. Umbrella, or parasol. Peek- a- bo! Where are you!

Toying

I am proud to say that I can hold my toys now. Well, .... sort of. I lose them quite quickly. And sometimes I lose them on my head!

Scrambled eggs

Friday lunch time, weekend begins: no more school, no more work, no more day care. Time for a luxuruous lunch. With scrambled eggs. Mama's friend Charlotte taught her how to make scrambled eggs, and now mama is teaching my sister Ces. She is very good at slow stirring. And careful with the hot pan!

Mjummie!!

The four of us

Koen's birthday

Today it is party time, for Koen's birthday, 4 years!
Their garden is under construction, so they celebrate it in the play ground. A good choice! Especially for my sister Ces. What a weekend with two great play grounds. We don't see her all afternoon, she is just running around!

I am enjoying it quite some too, even though it is busy and that is challenging for me.
I talk with Auntie Jule for a little bit, she listens really well to me.

Dancing

Music and dance! Time for fun. Ces insists we should hold hands and turn around each other. I like the swing!!
Would this be about someone's secret birthday???

Wroah says the tiger

Downstairs I have my own play box. Mama made my own acitvity center. I slam and play with the tiger.

The Pebble race track

And look what a great pebble race track we bought at the fancy fair!!

The boat of Uncle Koos

There is a fancy fair in the large playground in our neighbourhood. Mama and Ces go. 'Oh! I have been here with the BSO. Bye mama!', Ces yells, when they arrive. BSO is the after school care. So, mama buys clothes for me and a new hairband for Ces, while Ces climbs around.

When I wake up, papa and I join them, so I can drink from mama. And then we have lunch with fries.

Sunshine in the garden

It is a beautiful, warm day, and so Ces and mama take me into the garden. The flowers are everywhere around me, and leaves against the sky. The bees are summing around me.

And what is better than lying on the lawn? And looking into the sky. I laugh!

No photo please!

My sister Ces does not want to be photographed anymore. But game of pekaboo is fun!

Grandpa and Grandma on excercise

I have been at day care for four days and it went really well. I smiled all day, slept and drank really well. But now I need re-acquainting with mama's breast.

On this mama-day (Friday is mama-day), Grandma and Grandpa come for a try-out. Next Wednesday is Grandparents day.

They are doing really well: grandpa reads Ces (and tries to rescue a book from Ces's glueing activities), while Grandma cleans me.

children's doctor and day care

Time for a checkup at the children's doctor again. And a jab, of course, but only for the good.

I have grown well again: above average weight (6.4 kilo) and average length (61 cm). Great!

Then the doctor looked in my eyes and watched where I was looking and following her. 'Very good!', she said.

It is such a busy day. Today I go to day care for the first time. I am such a big boy, ain't I? My mama thinks so. You are not so petit anymore, she says. But does give me three extra cuddles. I smile wide at the lady of day care.

And so grown-up life begins...

Playing school and coloring pages

Ces is playing school with mama. Ces is the miss, and mama is Francesca. It is mama's birthday, oh joyous day! Mama gets to treat the whole class to pan cake! And then the Miss makes coloring pages for all the children. From bottom left anti-clockwise: mama, Ces, papa, baby with a blanket, auntie Grandpa, auntie Grandma. Mama has to colour them, being a child and all.

Lazy lunch

At last! A ray of sunshine, so we go out for a walk and of course it leads us to a 'restaurantje', as my sister Ces always says. Because it is the last of our lazy days, before mama has to get back to work and I go to day care, we enjoy a lunch at the spanish restaurant in town. Mmm, watching the boats go by.....

Gotcha

I have tried for days, and now I have mastered it!

I can catch and hold my dolphin! Of course I want to put the dolphin in my mouth, as any proper baby would.

Dinner

I always enjoy dinner time - everybody present and chatting.

A red and a grey cloth

It was sad. Somewhere in our trip home Ces lost her red cloth. Remember, mama had it repaired not too long ago. With the repair the cloth became even more treasured. Although Ces still happily slept without it, and sometimes didn't see it for days. But if I cried, Ces always let me have her red cloth: she was sure it would comfort me as it always comforts her. She is so sweet for me.

When we found out the cloth was gone, mama phoned the restaurants and gas stations, but none had seen it. Then she ordered a new one on the internet. And now I have my own grey cloth. For later, when I can hold it.

Pegs on glasses

Haha, the games you play with pegs. We play for a long time: sorting them on color, making figures, counting. And then the game turns wilder and we find odd places to peg them! Haha.

The clouds in my eyes

Look in my eyes, and you can see the clouds over my head in the swiss mountains.

Another nice one .

My holiday

Hello! We are back from holiday! It was very exciting for me, and new. My sister Ces told me she had already been many times to holiday house. Especially this one in Morgins, Switzerland. I could really sleep and play well in this holiday house.

For Ces there were lots of swimming pools around, warm thermal ones and colder ones and, of course, Lake Geneva. And she loves swimming pools and playing with her Dora ball in the water.

We had brought paper and scissors, so she could use her favourite toys. Each time she went away with one parent, the other parent stayed with me. We missed her, and made a drawing for her, each time. And then she could cut it up.

A couple of times we went with the four of us, this was very exciting for me, and sometimes a bit too much. I also got to know my hands better, and even grabbed my favourite sea horse a couple of times. I had some good quality time with my papa, who gave me the bottle. He plays funny games with me: he 'eats' my belly, and then I have to giggle!

My parents were very surprised to see that the primary school in front of our holiday house had now turned into a mountain bike cafe. Although a pity the school seems gone, the cafe turned out to be quite nice, with lots of parents enjoying an 'apero' (a drink before dinner, around 7 o'clock), while the children stunt on their bikes.

We went to visit a Fromagerie, where they made real Alp cheese and then we ate the cheese in the farm house. The cows were just on their way to the alm.

Ces and papa went to visit the mountain Marmots. And enjoyed ice cream and the play ground!

We had luck to attend the national day at August 1st. Ces loves a party, and so do I (I sleep so well on it!). She got a real lampion with a real candle. And real fire work. And there was real music with a real dance floor to dance on. With the fire work, we were quite the hero for lots of children. And Ces danced until late in the night.

Another family outing was to the zoo Marecottes. It is a zoo with a swimming pool. A swimming pool in the mountain rocks. Wow!

And of course we eat saucages over the fire in the forest.

But there were also lazy mornings, and Ces learned to play cards.
