Queen's day
But now it has cleared up, and we are going to listen to music and watch the arts. And have a drink of course. I sit on mama's shoulders to see the musicians.
It is a sunny day and we want to do something outdoors that we all like. I take my new bike and we go watch tulips. It is a dutch highlight for anyone visiting, and about time I saw it too. It is a lovely park with trees and birds singing. But I will have to learn to watch for people when I am on my bicycle. And eating ice cream on the lawn is not allowed, mama!!
I say: 'Mama, look, goat!'. Those pointy ears, and looking from the below.....
Can you see my papa waving at me and mama inside the labyrinth?
It has been my party, and I have tremendously enjoyed it. All my cousins and cousines were there, and all my friends from day care. It was sunny and we ran around in the garden and in the house and we carried toys from the house to the garden and back into the house.
Alex and Timo's little sister Manou watch the rabbits
Sterre and Koen play soccer together
Amber, Simon and I play all sorts of games
Timo and Gabriella run through the crowds
My neighbourwoman Wil gave a surprise visit.
We get pancakes to eat
Mama and I have been to the hair dresser. We had an appointment at the lazy hour of ten o'clock, but papa had adjusted the clocks to daylight saving time. So we are there before the hairdressor lady!! She cuts us anyway! And makes two braids in my hair, that is why it is now so wide. But at least it is not hangin in my eyes anymore.
Had I told you my papa is back home? He is!!
Amber invited me to her birthday party. That is exciting! And a good rehearsal for my upcoming party. We are both turning three!
Gabrielle and I arrive together to a party and a house full of kids. Amber takes us out to her garden house, we have lots of fun out in the cold.
Then we eat cake. Amber has south american family and they made a surprise box. All the kids pull a rope and the bottom falls out. Lots of little gifts fall on the floor and we all collect them in our bags. I am surprised and forget to collect. There is a nice lady who puts some gifts in my bag.
And then it is time to go again. Now I am looking forward to my own party even more!
We are going to our holiday home, and three years after I was born, my tree is in bloom again! Mama mows the lawn and meets the lady. I am very happy plaing around and looking around. A change from the home scenery!!
Later I play on the play ground, and mama sits in the sun. We eat outside with the local restaurant. So much fun for both of us! It feels like summer.
It is sunny, even if not so hot. But mama says that I can splash with some water. No, no, mama! Splash is not enough. I want cloths off and sit IN the water! Finally she gives in, in the corner of our kitchen window it is always wind-free and sunny in the evening. While mama is cooking, I am happy in my tub.
It is a cold Easter weekend. But we need fresh air, so we are going to look for baby sheep. Mama cycles, and I sit packed in warm on the rear seat. The sheep and their babies are standing in the field, happy, but separated by wide canals. These cows have also babies, big babies, just like me. Mama hasn't told me, but today I am turning 3. We wait for papa to celebrate the birthday. Big party coming up!!
On a dreary Saturday, what will we do? Swim!! With Auntie Hannie and Simon. Of course no photo's. Simon has learnt to enjoy water in Australia, and mama and I have been swimming lately too. We have lots of fun!
And then we go back to Uncle Frank and Alex who has cooked for us.
