More animals! I love animals, especially if they stand in the wood with leaves on the ground. Auntie Jacqueline has two horses and a pony, and wants to share them with me. Those hairs are so funny to touch. And the horses don't even complain when I pull them out.
Above is Wendy and below is Gonda. Neville is a bit too big for me.
There are more signs of autumn.
And then there were seven.... One little member of our puffing club is going to explore the world! Karlijn is going to China for two years and we meet to give them best cheers.
But another little member, Boaz, is perhaps meeting them there, because they are going to HongKong.
My mama thinks it is time I feel some animals. I don't know what an animal is, but my mama says it is like the pigeons on my square, but then more and different.
So, what better to experience an animal than to go to Artis, the Zoo in Amsterdam? It is a cold crisp day, so I am packed in many layers of clothing and off we go. We really only want to go to the children's zoo where you can touch the goats and sheep, but alas, we must buy a ticket for the lot. Well, mama wants to see the two baby gorilla's. She tells me that they are almost as old as I am, she saw them just after they were born, little-babies . Wonder if they are just as far as I am? See their gorilla blog.

We see all sorts of mama's and babies.
One gorilla mama shows her baby, it is about 40 cm tall and hanging of her breast. And then they go back to their bedroom, for a sleep?
Did you see how much fun I had? It was really a blast!
And then we drink a cup of coffee and eat apple cake in kid's restaurant in Valkeveen. It has all sorts of scary sounds of ghosts and creaking doors.

I fall asleep in the car, so papa and mama decide to extend the tour and when I open my eyes again, we happen to be in Valkeveen near Naarden. It is really autumn on the ground of the forrest.

My papa is back home! And I eat cooked and mashed pear and plum. I love it! And my papa is proud.
I like apple, pear, plum and carrot. I don't like potato or beans.
Swimming is tiring. This week there isn't lesson, because it is autumn holiday, but we go and play around ourselves. And still I am very tired and fall asleep before mama is dressed...
On this beautiful Sunday we play on the lawn, Simon and I. Mama doesn't need to cut the grass for a change and we are just relaxing and crawling around.
While the family plays around I have found something new: green, cold, and it jumps up after I press it down.

We are going to meet uncle Dick and auntie Jacqueline. It is a sunny day and Jacqueline wants to hike, so we meet at the Tafelberg, I was there before.
A nice girl likes me. Or perhaps she likes my buggy, because she wants to sit on it. She is dressed in the buggy's colours, that's for sure! I find it interesting to see other girls, so she is welcome!
After that we walk on the heather field. Jacqueline wants to hike, but my buggy is a city-buggy, I get stuck in the sand and on top of that I am hungry, but my mama doesn't notice.

My mama is most important to me. These days I want to see her all the time. Here you see me sitting on the veranda, while my mama is collecting the cut grass. I can see her, but she must be closer!! My mama says that it is now more fun to pick me up from day care: I give her big smiles when she comes. |  |
Last weekend was a very nice weekend. But my mama forgot to take the camera home, so delayed a picture of me playing on papa's veranda.
My mama doesn't tell me, but I still know: she goes out tonight and there is a young girl in the house. I just sleep and pretend not to notice that mama calls home only twice! It is her first time too!
My mama gives me lots of fruity things. I think it is exciting, but only two or three bites. I'm not so sure I like it all that much. The best is still those glass jars that my grandmother gives me. But mama insists on making it herself and she doesn't add apple juice. In day care I sometimes eat a lot: when I see the other kids, I cant stay behind now, can I? And in day care they don't even give me jars!
I am so happy and proud that I can turn on my belly, I do it all the time. I can even turn with my hip brace on. The time for lying on my back is over!! Just a pity, that I can't do anything else, so then I get angry: I want to crawl, like the big kids! But my mama tells me that I first need to excercise this and get strong arms.
My mama and I still go swimming every Tuesday morning. I have learnt to go under water, to kick my legs to move forward, to jump in the water and to splash water with my hands! Although I can't swim on my own: my mama always holds me.
But the best part is at the end, then we can play, I get a toy and I can look around at the other children while I chew on my toy.
Then in a leasurely pace we take a shower and get dressed again. While mama gets dressed I eat a cookie, just like the other children.
It is a beautiful weekend. Sunny and no wind. But it is autumn and you can see that on our square on the right. Aren't the yellow leaves cheerfull and bright?  |  You see my house on the far left? |
We went to the children's doctor for a checkup: I am 65 cm long, a little smaller than average, and 7.45 kg heavy, right on average.
And the doctor says I can start eating proper food. Well, you have seen I have already started eating like a proper girl.
It is my mama who needs to learn to make proper baby food. In the beginning she was toying with some peach, just mushing it with a fork. But this is no good!! Too many parts left and I was choking on them. So, now she has asked around and yes, the mixer is the way to go. She made a proper carrot and apple dish, boiled and mixed. Yummie. But the boiled swede ('koolraap') was less of a success. Too bitter even with mama's milk. This I reject!
And in the morning we share her breakfast smoothie: that is easy!
You see me, you see me?!! I have learned this all by myself! And with my hip brace I can't even excercise this. But I looked and I learned about gravity, and this is how it works!
My mama needs a new car. I am choosing one for her. Do you like red?
I am intrigued by this car: you can fold it, you can turn it, you can chew on it and then it turns into shreds. But now my papa can't send this card in for enquiries about an insurance.
