Ces laughing
I make some gurgling sounds, it is hard to speak, you know. Ces is laughing about them, because they came out so funny!

Grandma's birthday!

It is Grandma's birthday, and we children don't let a birthday slip by. A chance to sing and eat pancakes? Never. Last year we had just such a nice party at the Oasis restaurant in the dunes, so we'll try it again this year. Only the forecast isn't sunny weather, like it was last year. The day starts of ok, but by the time we get there, it is definitely showery. We wait in between showers, but as we walk in, one shower decides to hit us. And hits us well! Like drained cats we arrive, with the rest of the crowd sheltering!

Growing well!
I have gone to the children's doctor again, 5.7 kilo and 58 cm! Growing nicely. I get a vaccination and sleep the rest of the day. Well, it is grey and dull outside, so nothing lost.

The old town hall
We have just brought Ces to day care. Because of the holidays it is in a different location than usual. On the way back we pass the old town hall, where my mama and papa got married.

Simon and Ces are climbing
Simon comes to play on Monday, and he arrives already on Sunday evening: a stay-over party! It all goes well, and in the morning we walk into town and Ces and Simon get to choose lunch: pancakes (Simon) and poffertjes (Ces). The day can't go wrong anymore!

Ces and Simon learn to climb the pole. There are good games to invent. If we reach the ceiling we get a balloon. If we don't get to the ceiling we get a candy! But mama thinks the second part is not so good, the balloon they get when they climb two more times!

Groceries from the market
On Saturday we often go to the market to buy vegetables and fruit. It is summer and the abundance needs a place, on my pram!
Ces, the motor cat
Ces was painting this morning. Some paint ended up on her face, and it was only a small step to turn her into a real cat. In our town people comment on her beautiful paint, and she rides motor without a coin.

Sleeping in the sling
In the early evening, between four and eight, I am often unsettled. I just can't get into the mood of the night, the day is too exciting, and will mama be there tomorrow? Besides, all the fun of cooking and eating I wouldn't miss for the world!!So, if mama puts me to bed, I cry and cry untill she gets me out again. I sometimes get to rest in the 'sling'. In the sling I am all curled up, arms tucked in, can't move. I fall asleep.
3D cards
3D card making is the hip thing under the card makers. Mama has bought some prints cheaply and now Ces can use her sissors with no end. Perhaps not in the way it was intended, but mama and Ces make some nice pictures.Ces has made Simon's house, with their house number 30 at the top, with Simon's bedroom window in the top, and the flowers in their garden with Aunt Hannie's hand. And of course birthday cake!!

Hip check in Amsterdam
By the time we're finished, I want a drink, and then mama thinks of the play ground in the Oosterpark just outside the hospital. Ces can run around and I have a drink from mama on the lawn.
The hips need a further check next year.

Ces eats cherries
My sister Ces likes cherries, but only the big sweet juicy cherries from the market, not our own small sour cherries. But they go well in the jam.

Loes birthday
But the best fun, I thought, was to see my cousine Noor when she ate her first ice cream. Not sure if I want one when I am grown up!!

My hand

It is my daily restless hour between four and eight. I am downstairs in the pram. 'Hey, what is that? Is that mine?' It moves when I move my hand?
You see what my sister Ces did when she was my age?
Repair of the cloth
Ces is in distress: "Mama, I cut in my cloth! I didn't want to cut my cloth! " Luckily my mama can repair it! And the cloth is even the better for it.These days nothing is save for the scissors in Ces' hand, but sometimes it seems to have lived its own life!
